Center for Men and Masculinities Studies, established in 2012, is dedicated to engaged boy and men for gender justice addressing masculinities. CMMSs’ mission is to bring together researchers, practitioners, and activists in conversation and collaboration to develop and enhance projects focusing on boys and men. It is expected that this collaboration will generate and disseminate knowledge and evidence-based examples that will help to redefine gender relations to foster greater social justice. As an organization the Center is committed to fostering a world in which everyone, regardless of race, gender, or sexuality, reach their full potential as human beings. The Center aims at supporting and promoting action research that furthers the development of boys and men as gender equitable human beings. Therefore, the Center seeks to build bridges among a new generation of researchers, practitioners, and activists who want to promote positive masculinities and contribute to develop gender equitable policies and practices incorporating masculinities.
